Multi-Point, Multi-Objective Optimisation of Centrifugal Fans by 3D Inverse Design Method

In this paper, we present the design and optimization of a centrifugal fan with requirements maximizing total-to-static pressure rise efficiency at two operating points maximum torque provided by motor power using 3D inverse method, DOE (design experiment) study, an RSM (response surface model) MOGA (multi-objective genetic algorithm). The geometry is parametrized 13 parameters, 120 different designs are generated. performances all conditions evaluated through steady-state CFD simulations. resulting matrix used to create based on Kriging method search space find optimal design.
